Part of the fun of gardenning is trying new things each year... new varieties, new techniques, and new ideas. This year we're growing seeds from last year's corn, just to see what happens - will they be 'mules'? Will they produce any ears?This year we're gathering up the older green beans and peas, and going to try planting them next year, too. Will they grow and produce? We'll see!
We've also started harvesting some of the other beans.. and they are really cool looking. We are letting these dry on the vines, but some of the kids couldn't wait.
These are really pretty, and when the harvest is over, we'll see how they eat. These guys will get to be planted next year, too.Always fun things to do in the NorthWest!
