After unsuccessful efforts for a steelhead, the kids thought we'd do better for trout at Salmonberry Lake.
And we did - alot better.
Here is the biggest fish of the day - another 'Hat Trick' as we kicked in to quit for the night. Fat and 15", the boy was pretty happy.
Here's a bunch of the minnows the kids collected in between fish.
They will help keep the mosquito larva population under control in our troughs.
This many fat trout are about equal to one steelface... at least in weight.
Nothing beats a good steelhead on the BBQ... but these will do!
All the boys did better this trip.
Fish or no fish, they keep coming back.
